Many people in Greece give up their dogs because they can’t take care of them anymore. Luckily, there are places like Hott Spott, a cafe in Mytilene, on the island of Lesbos, which opens its doors to neglected pets. It has been letting the poor dogs sleep inside every night since July.

“When the coffee Shop shuts down every night, the animals come to sleep. We don’t have any problems. Since July, each night there is a dog on the couch,” said a waiter at the café, who wished to remain anonymous.
