Did you have a great Thanksgiving, but now you’re staring at your fridge wondering what to do with all the leftovers? I know the feeling of being tired of turkey sandwiches. Luckily, I have a delicious and easy solution for you – a hearty casserole made with all your leftover Thanksgiving ingredients.
Serve this delicious casserole to your family and friends, and they will be impressed by how you transformed your Thanksgiving leftovers into a brand new and tasty dish. Trust me, this casserole will become a new post-Thanksgiving tradition in your household!
Recipe Notes:
- We are using leftover turkey from the holidays, but you can use shredded chicken and substitute chicken gravy for the turkey gravy.
- If you want a more runny consistency, I recommend making just 1 box of fill. If you do this, just use 1 1⁄4 cups of water and 4 tablespoons of butter.
- The longer this casserole sits, the more liquid the filling will absorb.
- If you have leftover turkey gravy, you can use it instead of the canned gravy.
- You do not have to add salt to this dish. From the turkey, the stuffing, and the gravy that brings just enough salt, so you don’t have to add more.
How do I store leftovers?
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
Can I use different vegetables in this dish?
I used the carrots and celery that were left over from the vegetable dish but if you have leftover green
beans or even broccoli, you can add them to the saucepan.
