Physical contact between my wife and I ceased since I’d decided to divorce.
When I had to carry her out the first day, we were both awkward. Our son cheered, “Daddy’s carrying Mommy!” These words pained me. From bedroom to living room, then to the door, I walked about 10 meters carrying her.
